*Please have your child here at 6:00
Dec. 14th Holiday Party – also the day to return December Reading log.
Dec. 16th Minimum Day - All students come from 8:05-11:30!
See you on January 5, 2012!
December Curriculum
We are continuing with our letter of the week. This week is the letter Pp.
We will begin focusing more on writing our own sentences. We will use all the things we have learned so far… left to right and top to bottom progression, sounding out words, spaces between words and using punctuation at the end of the sentence.
In math, we are working on numeral formation and matching sets of objects to the numerals. Please make sure your child is starting all the numerals at the top! All numerals except 4 are one single stroke. A good way to have your child practice their numerals is to help your son/daughter learn his/her address and telephone number. Once the child learns this information, they love to share it with each other!
We are well into our second trimester of Kindergarten. Students need to know shapes, letter sounds and names, rhyming and syllabication. In math, they need to be able to identify numerals 0-20 and match them to sets.
Words your child needs to know at this time are: I, see, like, a, to, and, my.
Harvest Feast
Thanks to everyone who sent in the delicious food and supplies for our Harvest Feast. The children really enjoyed themselves! We had delicious trail mix, popcorn, apples with caramel, cookies and cupcakes! We ran races, made thankful frames, fun scarecrows and turkey doorstops! We are thankful for you!
Please practice singing our Christmas songs!

Estamos continuando con nuestra letra de la semana. Esta semana es la letra Pp. Continuamos escribiendo nuestras propias oraciones. Utilizaremos todas las cosas que hemos aprendido hasta ahora… empezamos a escribir al lado izquierda hacia la derecha y usando los sonidos para escribir palabras, espacios entre las palabras y usando la puntuación al final de la oración.
En matemáticas, estamos trabajando en la formación numérica y sistemas que emparejan de objetos a los números. Una buena manera de hacer que su niño practique sus números es ayudar a su hijo/hija a aprender su dirección y número de teléfono. ¡Una vez que el niño aprenda esta información, tiene orgullo de saberlo!
Estamos en nuestro segundo trimestre de Kindergarten. Los estudiantes necesitan saber las formas geométricas, los sonidos y los nombres de las letras, rimas y silabas. En matemáticas, necesitan identificar números 0-20.
Los niños necesitan leer estas palabras: I, see, like, a, my, go, to y and.

aquí en el salón de clases a las 6:00 P.M.! Estamos practicando nuestras canciones y nos gustaría si usted puede practicar con su hijo/a en la casa. Te mandamos las palabras para practicar. Nos gustaría mucho si su hijo/a se viste en su ropa mejor -las niñas pueden usar un vestido navideño.
El último día de clases será el 16 de diciembre. Es un día mínimo – Kindergarten sale a las 11:30 a.m.

Plan de estudios de diciembre
Estamos continuando con nuestra letra de la semana. Esta semana es la letra Pp. Continuamos escribiendo nuestras propias oraciones. Utilizaremos todas las cosas que hemos aprendido hasta ahora… empezamos a escribir al lado izquierda hacia la derecha y usando los sonidos para escribir palabras, espacios entre las palabras y usando la puntuación al final de la oración.
En matemáticas, estamos trabajando en la formación numérica y sistemas que emparejan de objetos a los números. Una buena manera de hacer que su niño practique sus números es ayudar a su hijo/hija a aprender su dirección y número de teléfono. ¡Una vez que el niño aprenda esta información, tiene orgullo de saberlo!
Estamos en nuestro segundo trimestre de Kindergarten. Los estudiantes necesitan saber las formas geométricas, los sonidos y los nombres de las letras, rimas y silabas. En matemáticas, necesitan identificar números 0-20.
Los niños necesitan leer estas palabras: I, see, like, a, my, go, to y and.
Fiesta de dia de accion de gracias
Gracias a cada familia que envió algo y ayudo con la fiesta. Los niños realmente gozaron de su banquete y comieron mucho. ¡Gracias!

Nuestra programa Navideña será el día miércoles, el 14 de diciembre, 2011!
El programa empieza a las 6:30 P.M. pero su niño necesita estar
aquí en el salón de clases a las 6:00 P.M.! Estamos practicando nuestras canciones y nos gustaría si usted puede practicar con su hijo/a en la casa. Te mandamos las palabras para practicar. Nos gustaría mucho si su hijo/a se viste en su ropa mejor -las niñas pueden usar un vestido navideño.
El último día de clases será el 16 de diciembre. Es un día mínimo – Kindergarten sale a las 11:30 a.m.
¡ Volveremos a clases el 5 de enero de 2012!

December Curriculum
We are continuing with our letter of the week. This week is the letter Pp.
We will begin focusing more on writing our own sentences. We will use all the things we have learned so far… left to right and top to bottom progression, sounding out words, spaces between words and using punctuation at the end of the sentence.
In math, we are working on numeral formation and matching sets of objects to the numerals. Please make sure your child is starting all the numerals at the top! All numerals except 4 are one single stroke. A good way to have your child practice their numerals is to help your son/daughter learn his/her address and telephone number. Once the child learns this information, they love to share it with each other!
We are well into our second trimester of Kindergarten. Students need to know shapes, letter sounds and names, rhyming and syllabication. In math, they need to be able to identify numerals 0-20 and match them to sets.
Words your child needs to know at this time are: I, see, like, a, to, and, my.
Harvest Feast
Thanks to everyone who sent in the delicious food and supplies for our Harvest Feast. The children really enjoyed themselves! We had delicious trail mix, popcorn, apples with caramel, cookies and cupcakes! We ran races, made thankful frames, fun scarecrows and turkey doorstops! We are thankful for you!

Parent Volunteers
Thank you!! Thank you to our parent volunteers who come each week. We really could not do as much without your help. If you are available anytime to help, please let me know! I can work out one day a month, or every other week, or whenever you can take some time to volunteer. We especially need help on minimum days as we don’t have our partner teacher.
